Why convert my loadcell signals to 4-20mA?

Signal can be easily transmitted through wire or wireless
Signal is more stable in noisy electrical environments
Industry standard signal can be fed into a host of devices (PLC, computers, ect)

What are my options?

You can feed the signals into our DGH Module and interface the module to a computer. This option is for when you desire a computer to act as a digital indicator. Use this option when you need more than 4 loadcells to feed into the computer. MassLink™ software is supplied.
You can purchase a Quadsum digital indicator. With this option you do not require a computer, but you can also interface this unit to a computer using our QuadLink™ software. Supports up to 4 loadcells.
Use the 4-20mA loadcells in your own configuration. (PLC's) ..

Interogate the loadcells at will.
Save and print the data retrieved.
Calibrate each channel individually.
Change units from lbs to kgs.
Zero the incomming signals. (Tare)

(Software comes on a cd rom with a standard setup program to help you get weighing right away. Full featured help and troubleshooting guide is also included.)

Features and Benefits:

Each channel can be calibrated to have different capacities of loadcell.
Low voltage requirement means that the converter can be run off of batteries.
Standard D9 female serial connection will work with nearly any computer.

Our precision current output converter is designed to transmit analog 4-to-20 ma signals over an industry standard current loop.

4-20mA Converter Chips:

Converter chip normally can be installed within the loadcell. Smaller loadcells require a small plastic enclosure to hold the converter chip. (see below) This box can be mounted to the loadcell or located in a remote location, depending on how much room you have around the loadcell.
